Quick Answer
The Gilded Foil Drenched Vaporwave Idol 1: Mall Walking deck is an ultra-limited, postmodern playing card set by Fulton's Playing Cards that celebrates 1980s mall culture, with only 30 copies available per color option.
Why This Deck Stands Out
This deck is not just a novelty—it's a deliberate artistic statement. Every card is custom-designed, drawing from Fulton's personal memories of 1980s mall life, video games, and movies. The result is a cohesive, nostalgic experience that feels more like a curated art piece than a standard playing card deck.
The 'Foil Drenched' finish adds a reflective, premium quality that enhances the vibrant vaporwave aesthetic. However, this means the deck may show fingerprints or smudges more readily than matte-finished cards, so handling with clean hands or using a soft cloth is recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How many cards are in the deck?
- The deck contains a standard 52-card set plus 2 jokers, all fully custom. No duplicate cards or standard faces appear.
- What color options are available?
- The deck comes in multiple color variants, each limited to 30 copies. Check the product page for current available colors, as they sell out quickly.
- Can I use this deck for regular card games?
- Yes, it is fully functional for any card game. However, due to its collectible nature and foil finish, many buyers keep it sealed or use it for display purposes rather than frequent play. If you intend to play regularly, consider buying a standard Fulton's deck for durability and reserve this one for special occasions.
