The gilded edges actually look like real gold leaf in person and riffle smooth without flaking, which I didn't expect at this price. Knowing the whole concept started from someone finding knockoffs at a night market makes the deck feel like a weird little piece of card history.
I was immediately drawn to the story behind the deck—the bootleg origin adds a cool backstory to an already stunning card set. The gilding on the edges is flawless and gives each shuffle a satisfying glint.
